HOW TO ADD THE DEVELOPER TAB TO THE RIBBON
How to add the developer tab to the ribbon
Developer tools are essential tools that can enable you to do different Microsoft office complex work and complete tasks that you would not have completed if there were enabled.
For example, to create a Microsoft word fillable form with fields like text filed, picture upload field, calendar field and so on, one would need to use the developer tools. Because if the developer tools are not enabled in Microsoft word document, then there is no way to add the form fields
If your Microsoft word developer tools are not currently enabled, and you would like to enable them, follow these simple steps.
Note: It is worth noting that developers tools in Microsoft excel are enabled in the same way we enable them in Microsoft word. After you learn enabling them in Microsft word this knowledge should be used to also enable them in Microsoft excel in case you need to
I will explain how to do it in one paragraph as I do in most of my posts, then I follow along with detailed steps with illustrations on how to do it in case the paragraph was not descriptive enough for somebody.
For those who can grasp the steps or understand Microsoft word better, you might not need to read the rest of the document. If you are stuck, don’t worry. I will always follow this paragraph with detailed steps.
Here is the paragraph on How to enable developer tools
Open Microsoft word document > go to file > go-to word options. These options are usually located at the extreme bottom. On my computer with office 2019, it is located under the last option. You click more > then choose options. Once you reach there, go to Customize ribbon > then look at the right-hand side you will see Developer, tick that box, and you are good to go. The developer tab will appear alongside other usual word tab ribbons.
